A Menu Category is used to organize menu items into logical sections within a menu.

For example:

  • Starters
  • Main Course
  • Biryani
  • Rice & Noodles
  • Desserts
  • Beverages

A category is different from both a menu and a menu item.

Menu → Category → Menu Item

For example:

Main Menu → Biryani → Chicken Biryani

A category can be created from the dedicated Categories section and can then be assigned to the appropriate menu items.
